At the weekend I watched  film ‘The autopsy of Jane Doe’. This is a horror film about a coroner business owned by both a father and son, but all goes wrong when the corpse of Jane Doe comes in. As the two men work into the night to piece together the cause of her death, they begin to uncover the disturbing secrets of her life. Which a series of terrifying events make it clear that Jane Doe may not be dead. I really enjoyed this film as its imagesnot your typical horror film, it has a good storyline as it has a sense of realism to it compared to other horror films such as Paranormal Activity  this is because they follow all of the conventions, whereas this film doesn’t. For instance the ‘villain’ is a female which this is non stereotypical as the villain is usually seen as a male. Though the film is a horror genre I personally think this film conventions are more fitted to a thriller as the film keeps you on the edge of your seat intrigued to watch more, not like a horror film where you suspect on what’s going to happen next.
